Subject: New Application and Audit Cover Letters

Hi all,

Attached you will find a revamped application form for the Microsoft Trusted Root Certificate Program along with a new Audit Cover Letter.

We revamped the application form to be more user friendly and more useful to us. It should also be easier to tell from the new application form which audits are expected for the EKUs that you have/want enabled for your root certificates.

We also designed an Audit Cover Letter for your auditors to fill out and include with their audit attestation letters. Having your auditors fill out and include these forms should cut down on some of the confusion for the auditors about what information we need to see in the attestation letters and also for us about what coverage the audits are providing.

We will launch these with the next update to the Program Requirements. In the meantime, we are accepting feedback on these forms until October 8, 2015. If you have any feedback to provide, please email it to trustcert at microsoft.com<mailto:trustcert at microsoft.com> by this date.
