It should come as no surprise that we support greater transparency, so
thanks for providing these, Dimitris.

As to the role of the Forum Chair, or Chair-Elect, I think perhaps it bears
mentioning that the Forum is not an organization in-and-of-itself - it's
merely a discussion roundtable. To the extent that the Chair (or
Vice-Chair) is a position established by our 2012 bylaws, it's largely to
facilitate that adherence to our bylaws for the purposes of ensuring the IP
covenant is successfully met and protected for all participants. As your
slide notes, what ultimately matters is the root program requirements, and
the role of the Forum is to serve as a venue for discussing how to
deconflict those requirements and produce guidance that hopefully the
auditing bodies can then consider and incorporate, as a means of providing
independent evaluation for the root programs.

I mention all of this to highlight that no officer 'represents' the
CA/Browser Forum positions or thinking, since the Forum is just a loose
discussion group. Similarly, because of the lack of incorporation, we don't
have protections on or rules about the use of the CA/B Forum logo. Any
member could use it, and potentially any non-member - it's going to be up
to the copyright holder on the Logo itself (which certainly, isn't the
CA/Browser Forum, as a non-entity; does anyone recall who created it?)

I think you've set a great precedent here, which is that sharing updates
about what different participants views of the CA/Browser Forum are being
presented as, but I don't think you need to worry too much about 'speaking'
for the Forum or "its" positions - no member, including the Chair and
Vice-Chair, can really do that :)
