Good catch. Here is the revised ballot results report - the result is the same.

REVISED Results on Ballot 214 – CAA Discovery CNAME Errata

The voting period for Ballot 214 has ended and the ballot has passed. Here are the results.

Voting by CAs – 16 votes total, including abstentions

13 Yes votes: Actalis, Amazon, Buypass, Camerfirma, Chunghwa Telecom, Cisco, Comodo, Entrust, GDCA, Izenpe, Let's Encrypt, QuoVadis, SSL.com
3 No votes: GlobalSign, Symantec, Trustwave
0 Abstain:

Voting by browsers – 4 votes total, including abstentions

4 Yes votes: Apple, Google, Microsoft, Mozilla
0 No votes:
0 Abstain:
100% of voting browsers voted in favor

Under Bylaw 2.2(g), a ballot result will be considered valid only when more than half of the number of currently active Members has participated. Votes to abstain are counted in determining a quorum. Half of currently active Members as of the start of voting is 8, so quorum was 9 votes. 20 votes (including abstentions) were cast – quorum was met.

Bylaw 2.2(f) requires a yes vote by two-thirds of CA votes and 50%-plus-one browser votes for approval. Votes to abstain are not counted for this purpose. This requirement was met for both CAs and browsers.

At least one CA Member and one browser Member must vote in favor of a ballot for the ballot to be adopted. This requirement was met

Ballot 214 passes.

Hi Kirk,

Could you provide the links to the votes you counted as "Yes"?

It appears you may have miscounted, as I cannot find a "Yes" vote from GlobalSign (most recent No vote - https://cabforum.org/pipermail/public/2017-September/012128.html ) or Trustwave ( https://cabforum.org/pipermail/public/2017-September/012119.html ). I also couldn't find one for Symantec ( https://cabforum.org/pipermail/public/2017-September/012126.html ). I know some members - such as Entrust - changed their votes, but it doesn't appear all did.

It would be helpful if you'd also list out member-breakdowns, as you did in the past (e.g. https://cabforum.org/pipermail/public/2017-March/009988.html )
