gov.uk is a valid TLD
www.gov.uk is a domain name I assume, even though whois.ja.net claims 
it's not.
hmrc.gov.uk is the domain used for the host name www.hmrc.gov.uk
tfl.gov.uk is also a domain name used for the host name 
journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk

We would have to validate the domains www.gov.uk, hmrc.gov.uk and 
tfl.gov.uk for the host names you mentioned above by preceding one of 
the administrative email addresses.
