As the person currently responsible for maintaining it, I would be happy
if ICANN were to maintain a similar list with direct input from
registries. If they were to do so to a sufficient degree of accuracy,
then I could shut down the PSL and do something else with my time :-)

If we can get everyone to do it, that would be great too.
However, I've not yet heard of much sign of either of the above
happening. :-| I _think_ Yngve drafted some proposals for how to put
PSL-like info in the DNS. But that was a while back.
