[cabf_governance] Governance Reform Working Group meeting

I agree – but we have a list of bugs and tweaks we have been accumulating for many months. Maybe it is a separate errata ballot, but I think the Gov WG is a good place for it to come from.

One thing is “consent ballots” which I proposed a year ago – a way for the Chair or Vice Chair to formally propose a correction to a glitch, and if no member objects within (7? 10?) days, it is deemed approved by consent. Common concept in corporate governance.

Another is correcting our copyright license to CC-BY. Another is correcting current ETSI audit numbers. There are more things out there.

Let's be careful on this. We don't want to end up rewriting/renegotiating the entire set of bylaws.

As the Gov. Reform WG works through ballot language on Bylaws changes, can you put out a call on OTHER Bylaws tune-ups that may also be needed. I have a short list (somewhere), and I think other members may as well. The changes don’t have to relate to the change in governance, but be more in the nature of errata/cleanup/clarification edits.

I will be traveling out of the country during this call next week. Can someone else please lead it? Jeremy? Ben?

I think we should review some of the comments received to date from Gerv and Dimitris. Perhaps edit the last version with those comments.

Thanks
Dean
